WLSS FILM FESTIVAL LOCATION

294 Fort Douglas Blvd | Salt Lake City, UT

Built in 1932 for the formerly sprawling Fort Douglas, on the northeast outskirts of Salt Lake City; the stately, almost Jeffersonian, brick theater was opened almost all day during the hectic days of WWII.

As the fort downsized continually after the big war, the theater saw less use, finally being opened only on weekends by the early 70's.  It was used sporadically for various events until the Olympics, where it had heavy use. Now it's home to the "Who Likes Short Shorts?" Film Festival which screens there twice a year.

The Who Likes Short Shorts? Film Festival is held bi-annually at the historical Fort Douglas Post Theater on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Post Theater has been restored to its original look and feel with seating for 250 and state of the art audio and video projection system, it makes an exceptional location for a fun festival that packs a serious punch in the shorts!
